It all started in high school when Josie was a Sophomore and David was a Junior. David had liked her for quite some time but like always Josie was oblivious. Josie then told one of her best friends she thought he was cute. There were a-lot of people who played matchmaker, even teachers were in on the setup. One of their teachers had changed the seating chart, so Josie and David were forced to sit beside one another. At the time they were so shy and barely talked to one another, but with time they became more comfortable and were soon inseparable.

On December 22, 2018 only a few days before Christmas, David asked Josie to be his girlfriend. For the next few years of high school they grew up together, learned together, and fell more and more in love everyday. Even though they were young, they always knew it was a forever kind of love.

After high school David and Josie were still inseparable, although they were at separate colleges. They talked on the phone as much as they could and David came home from college as often as possible. They were both determined to always make time for one another. David and Josie often talked about their future together and began making plans.

On November 2, 2024 David got down on one knee and proposed to Josie at the Washington Waterfront Docks. Of course, she said YES!
