David and Cassie met their freshman year (technically David's Junior year) at the University of Northwestern Saint Paul. They were in the same friend group for a while, but really became best friends between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Cassie may have had a secret crush on him...

David quickly became Cassie's biggest fan, as well as a big Eagle volleyball fan!

We spent our first summer long distance (8 hours apart). It was a long and tough summer, but we facetimed every day and absence just made our hearts grow fonder!

David graduated from college!

We were able to spend summer #2 together because I decided to live at school for summer break. We made many special memories, including a trip to see my family for my 20th birthday!

David was sworn in as a police officer at Roseville PD. So special getting to celebrate big and adult moments together!

Two years together

Cassie spent the summer in the cities again, so they were able to spend it together! A big highlight is always getting to attend our friends' weddings together!

David was finally able to visit Cassie's favorite place with her. Cookson Lake!

Cassie's senior year and last volleyball season. David is still the biggest Eagle fan as an alumni!

David proposed on the Rice Creek North Regional trail in Shoreview, and it caught Cassie totally by surprise! She said yes (of course)! It was a special moment and Cassie cried... a lot.

We are officially engaged! God is so good, and this moment was such a reflection of His faithfulness.

David and Cassie's amazing friends threw them a surprise engagement party. We are so excited to have amazing people beside us as we start our journey to marriage!
