The Story of Us

It all started on a cozy game night in August 2024, when a mutual friend unknowingly set the stage for something special. Among the laughter, playful banter, and friendly competition, Danielle couldn’t help but notice Dave — and yes, she definitely wanted to know if he was single!A few weeks later, fate (and another game night) gave them a second chance to connect, and sparks flew once again. By the third time they crossed paths, Dave finally made his move — he asked for Danielle’s number and if he could take her out to dinner. One meal turned into many, and soon enough, game nights turned into date nights, and that sweet beginning turned into forever.

Our Story

David planned every detail to make the proposal unforgettable, choosing Danielle’s favorite park as the perfect spot. While she was busy at a bridal shower that morning, he slipped away with the help of friends to set up a quiet, hidden spot behind a beautiful oak tree overlooking the lake.When Danielle returned home, David suggested a walk through the park. As they reached the lake, she was surprised with flowers and a sweet picnic spread. There, David got down on one knee and asked the big question. In true Danielle fashion, she grabbed the ring and slipped it on before realizing she hadn’t actually said, “Yes!”Hidden nearby, friends captured the whole moment on camera. Afterward, the two celebrated with dinner at The Ravenous Pig, soaking in the excitement of the day. But the surprises didn’t end there—David had secretly arranged for their families to drive in from all over to celebrate with a surprise engagement party the very next day.It was the perfect start to forever.

The Day She Said YES!

Darci is not only my younger sister, but also my lifelong bestie and confidant. She’s the one I call when I need to vent, cry, or simply talk about nothing at all—our sister-bond is one of the most precious parts of my life.

Her journey through dating, engagement, and marriage looked very different from mine, but I’ve always been so thankful to learn from her godly example of what a strong, grace-filled marriage can look like.Over the years, she’s shown me what it means to be a devoted wife, a wonderful mom, and the member of the family who keeps things fun with her wit and banter. Her patience, gentleness, and steady love have shaped me more than she probably knows.

I’m beyond grateful that we’ve gotten to walk through so many seasons of life together—and now, I’m honored to have her by my side as my Matron of Honor.

Darci Barton

Caleb is my oldest brother, and he's been one of the most steady and meaningful influences in my life. From childhood memories to the more complicated parts of adulthood, he’s always been there—with calm advice, honest perspective, and the kind of support only a big brother can give. He’s someone I’ve looked up to in more ways than he even knows, and his presence has helped shape who I am today. I am deeply grateful and honored to have him by side on my big day.  

Caleb Esler

Carley is my long-time best friend, travel buddy, and sister in Christ. We met at the University of Florida when she asked me to be her Chem 1 study partner after realizing we both worked at the same Publix. Thanks to her, I passed—though only one of us kept going with chemistry (she’s now a pharmacist!).

My love for travel began when Carley invited me to join her on a once-in-a-lifetime study abroad trip to Italy. We spent three weeks eating, sipping, and exploring our way across the country—and that adventure not only sparked a deep friendship but also a shared wanderlust that’s taken us to five countries (and counting!). I’m so grateful for her encouragement through prayer, friendship, and all the incredible memories we’ve made around the world.

Carley Graham

Josh is the closest sibling to me in age, which naturally led to a tight bond between us. I've always admired Josh's tenacity, work ethic and determination to reach his goals. We’ve gone through many life experiences together and shared a lot of great memories along the way. For years, we shared a bunk bed, a friend group, and now I’m grateful he’ll be by my side, sharing in the joy on my wedding day.


Joshua Esler

Shelby is a long-time bestie, animal lover, popcorn enthusiast, and sister in Christ who I’ve had the joy of knowing since our college days at the University of Florida. She’s walked with me through so many seasons—listening to countless phone calls about the ups and downs of singleness, and celebrating alongside me when I finally found my person.

Her heart for others is such a gift, and it’s been a blessing to have her by my side through life’s highs and lows. I’ve watched Shelby chase her dreams through Veterinary College, fall in love, and boldly start a new chapter in another state. She’s been an example of courage and faith, and a constant source of encouragement in my life.

I’m so grateful she’ll be standing with me on this day, celebrating the man she’s helped pray over for so many years.

Shelby Ziegler

I first met Tony when I moved to Florida in 6th grade, and he’s been my longest-standing friend ever since. Over the years, we’ve been college roommates, wingmen, and constant sources of support for each other. I’m grateful for the friendship we’ve built through every stage of life. Tony has had a front row seat to some of the best and the worst times in my life and stuck by me through it all. I could not be more grateful he is standing with me through such a momentous occasion.

Sarah Rose has been one of my dearest friends since our days in uniform at NFMAA Middle School! We became fast friends after realizing we had matching slide-up razor phones during our first week of school—and the rest is history.

Despite going to different high schools and later separate colleges, our friendship never wavered. She visited me through every chapter—from Gainesville to Fort Lauderdale, and even during my years up in Wisconsin. Sarah has always been a loyal, steady friend—the kind you can call at any time, who never runs out of conversation, and who shows up without fail.

I’ve had the joy of watching her walk through the seasons of dating, engagement, and marriage, and now I’m so thankful to have her by my side as I step into this new season of my own.

Few people have had as much impact on my life as John. He hosted the game night where I met my beautiful bride, but more importantly, he’s helped me grow personally, professionally, and as a man of God. His counsel has been a guiding force in my life, and one of the primary reasons I am where I am today. I’m truly grateful to have him by my side on this special day.
