HER STORYChapter 1 - As the titled indicated, it was a long time ago. Della says 7 years, we're not quite sure, I think more like 9 this coming July. Anyway, we originally met in my backyard on 12th Street when he came over to look at my basement. AN ACTUAL BASEMENT, IN A HOUSE, get your mind out of the gutter. Sadly, Chapter 1 ends there, we were unimpressed. Chapter 2 - While sitting in Walker's backyard watching the kids play in the blow up pool when no one other than David pulls up. IN A FORD F150 which clearly I didn't see the previous meeting as it was dark and I was more focused on giving Kevin's friend the shooshoo. This time, I thought to myself Imagine how much remodeling shit I could fit in that truck! That was the day I knew I wanted to see him again. Unlucky for me, he did say he was coming back and I rushed home and washed the drywall dust out of my hair, put on something nice and went back over. He never came back...Maybe chapter 3 will be more successful! We’ll let David write that one. HIS STORYChapter 3 - The Lake EncounterWhile we were separately invited to a birthday party at the lake for a weekend, we quickly were drawn to each other. Her stunning beauty and my short shorts had us both mesmerized. We went out on the boat, had a drink or two, played with all the kids that were in attendance and enjoyed each other’s company. The weekend came to an end with me going over to her place, wink wink, just to put some aloe on her sunburn and head home. No funny stuff folks. That’s when we knew there was something more there. HIS STORYChapter 4- Moving to KansasSo in an effort to save you all a lot of reading I’ll hit the footnotes. We loved each other IN A LOT of ways. We moved in together, she gave birth to our beautiful baby boy, Dylan as a result of some of that love. She got her bachelor’s degree, I got laid off, Covid. She got a job offer in Kansas and off we went. She got her Master’s degree. I decided it was time to make her an honest woman and put a ring on it. I talked to my mother and got some of my late Grandmother’s jewelry and had a ring made for her. I proposed right after eating Runza casserole and watching The Barbarian on Netflix. Nothing but class here. She loved it and said yes! Thank goodness. Now we are here, downstairs workin in the bar and I can’t stop looking at her backside. We hope to see you all for what can only be a wild start to Chapter 5!
