Ella and David both lived in Kimball Dormitory at Skidmore College their sophomore year. They had mutual friends but never really crossed paths previously. One night after basketball practice, Ella came back to her room, tired and exhausted, only to find a silly, smiling David sitting in her room, hanging out with her roommate Cassie. Ella felt right at home with him there, like they had known each other a long time. David thought to himself, "if she looks this pretty when she's sweaty and tired after practice, I can't imagine how she looks when she's trying!" He invited the girls to watch a show on his big tv downstairs, however Cassie fell asleep early (OR DID SHE!?) David and Ella watched Orange Is The New Black and have been inseparable ever since.

Fast forward TEN YEARS... David was ready for marriage for a while, but Ella wanted to be the one to propose, so that when the time came, he knew she was ready. She secretly planned proposal and popped the question under a beautiful willow tree in Larz Anderson Park of Brookline, MA by reading aloud a handmade comic of their love story.
