The Wedding of David Kaufman & Margo Coltrane

Our Wedding

Our story is one of God tying up several invisible strings to lead us to each other... In the spring of 2023, David and I matched on the dating app, Hinge. What started as the usual formalities of "Hello" and "What do you do for work?" quickly turned into us realizing just how much we have in common. To begin with, we were born within 24 hours of each other! Then, David grew up with a lot of my high school classmates, and we both went to K-State (GO CATS!). From there, we realized that our Greek houses in Manhattan were just down the street from each other, and we were undoubtedly at some of the same parties/functions throughout college. Somehow, we never met, and it took the modern dating platforms to bring us together. We started officially dating in May 2023. From then on, we’ve been each other's plus-ones to many weddings, buddies to Cats games, travel companions to fun places, and dog parents to our pup, Hugo (*cue David's Lion King father/son monologue*)! On August 24, 2024, David and I went to a nice dinner at George's French Bistro, where he continued to convince me that an engagement would be coming later in the fall. We went to my parents' house afterward to "celebrate my dad's birthday," but David ended up proposing on their front porch! It was a whirlwind of a night, but so much fun being with our families. We are so excited to begin our lives together and have our family and friends be there to celebrate with us!
