How do I RSVP?
Our website has a specific section that allows you to conveniently RSVP online. Just click on the tab that says "RSVP" and follow the instructions. However, if you would like to RSVP another way, feel free to email us your RSVP, and we will take it from there!
What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by October 1st in order to maintain the wedding timeline.
What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venue? Are they wheelchair accessible?
The ceremony and refreshment hour are located in Sioux Falls, SD at the same venue, which is wheelchair accessible. The specific address of the venue will be printed on each invitation, and further directions may be provided if necessary. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about directions to our venue!
What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?
The three hotels listed in the "Travel" section of the website are all within a 5 minute drive of the venue. There is a map provided in the "Travel" section as well that shows the route from the hotels to the venue. If guests would like to arrange carpools, please feel free to do so!
Is there parking available near your wedding venue?
The venue has its own parking lot.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The wedding will take place entirely indoors.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Hampton Inn & Suites Southwest located at 3701 W Avera Dr in Sioux Falls. Please book your stay by no later than Monday, October 20th, 2025 to guarantee a room in our block. To book a room please visit the "Travel" section of our website for more information.
What should I do if I don't make it into the room block?
Hampton Inn has informed us that they will release the remaining rooms that have not been booked back to the general public once the cutoff date of Monday, October 20th, 2025 has passed. You may still be able to reserve a room at the Hampton Inn, but unfortunately, we would not be able to guarantee that you would receive the hotel block discount. Alternatively, we have also provided the information in the "Travel" section for two other hotels that are very close to the Hampton Inn. They both have very similar price points to the discounted room price at the Hampton Inn.
What should I do if I need to cancel my room reservation?
Hampton Inn has asked us to notify them of any group cancelations at least 3 weeks prior to the date that the room has been reserved for, and at least 48 hours prior for individual reservations.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Our dress code is formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with a tie and women wear an evening gown, midi or knee-length cocktail dress, or a nice pantsuit. However, we also encourage guests to wear clothing that makes them feel comfortable while still maintaining formal attire.
Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?
We want everyone to look and feel their best, so we encourage everyone to wear whatever is most comfortable for them within the dress code. Our colors are dark blue and light pink if you'd like to refrain from wearing those colors, but again, we want our guests to feel comfortable in whatever they wear!
What is the weather like in the area?
Sioux Falls Decembers are typically cold but aren't typically snowy. We suggest having winter apparel (i.e. coats, hats, gloves, etc). However, we should hopefully avoid any travel problems due to snow being less likely.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
If "& Guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, you may absolutely bring a guest! However, because of limited venue space, we unfortunately can't accommodate plus-ones beyond those named on the wedding invitation. We hope you understand our decision, and we still hope you can celebrate with us!
Am I allowed to bring my children?
If "Family" or your childrens' names are written on your wedding invitation, then you may absolutely bring them! However, again, because of limited venue space, we ask that you do not bring anyone not listed on your wedding invitation. Again, we hope you understand our decision, and we still hope you can celebrate with us!
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
We have taken extra care to make sure that there are gluten and dairy free options included in our menu, and we will absolutely do our very best to accommodate anyone who requires additional accommodations.

What is the wedding day itinerary?
The ceremony will begin at 4:00pm, and it is expected to last around 30-45 minutes. There will be a receiving line for the bride and groom immediately following the ceremony, as well as a time of refreshments. The time of refreshments will last for an hour.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
The ceremony will start at 4:00pm, but due to photography needs, the sanctuary will not be opened until 3:30pm. We kindly ask that guests are mindful of this, and to please not arrive until 3:30pm or after. However, if guests would need to show up earlier due to travel restrictions, we will happily make accommodations! We simply ask that all guests kindly refrain from attempting to enter the sanctuary until 3:30pm.
What time will your wedding festivities end?
There will be a time of refreshments immediately following the ceremony, that will last for an hour. We encourage all guests to stay and enjoy the refreshments! There will also be a slideshow of David and Carolyn that will be playing throughout the hour for guests to enjoy.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We kindly ask that you refrain from taking any photos or videos during our ceremony. We will be having a professional photographer and videographer capture the ceremony, and will likely be releasing a portion of the professional photos at a later date.
