David moved to Indiana to pursue a career in law enforcement in 2020. Once being hired on at the Sheriff's Office, David became friends with Jared Shrontz, my brother, and they later went to the Police Academy together. As a new member of the community and a friend of Jared's, David had to experience the fine culture of the world famous Covered Bridge Festival, it was at the Covered Bridge Festival that David and I met for the first time. David would spend the next several months (maybe years if we are being honest) trying to win me over with his good looks, humor, and obvious charm. After some convincing, and a few memorable dates, we began our official adventure as a couple.
One crazy dog, one new house, and a few fun years later we arrived at June 25th, 2023. David and I went to the Indianapolis Zoo on a date. David had arranged for us to go behind the scenes of the zoo and watch the orangutans paint, eat, and play. After the orangutan had finished her painting David and I posed for a picture and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He said some other cute things too, but I pretty much blacked out after he knelt down so I couldn't tell you what he said. I obviously said yes and the rest takes us up to today.
David and I are so excited to enter the next chapter of our lives together and I personally am so thankful to have someone who has continued to choose me and stand with me each day.
We are so thankful for you and cannot wait to celebrate our big day. Whatever part you have played in our story we love you and are grateful for the impact you have had on our lives!
