David and Lauren met in college at Cleveland State University in 2013. That year, David served as the president of the Student Alumni Association (SAA). They were first introduced when he interviewed Lauren for a leadership position in SAA (yes - she got the job!). Eventually friendship formed and by senior year they had a standing weekly coffee date. The rest is history!

David proposed to Lauren while on a trip to Europe in 2022. Originally, David planned to propose in Amsterdam, but he changed his mind mid trip and decide he couldn't beat the cliche of Paris! On an evening walk by the Seine River, David dropped to one knee. Surprised and delighted, Lauren said yes!
