David and Anna first met as teenagers at Del Campo High School 12 years ago. They would see each other in the hallways and occasionally at the Teens for Christ club on campus. After high school, David reached out to Anna on social media, and over time they became better friends.
In 2021, David asked Anna out. At first, she said yes, but later that same day she changed her mind and canceled. Shortly after, Anna moved to Washington, and even with the distance, they continued to stay in touch.
In the summer of 2024, after Anna moved back home, the two reconnected at a bonfire. From then on, they would run into each other at social gatherings and always found time to catch up. On a very special day, David took Anna, her sister, and a friend out to dinner. Shortly after, he asked her to go with him to a Kings game. Although Anna still considered him a friend, she agreed to go, and the night turned out to be unforgettable.
From that point forward, everything felt different. David and Anna began dating in November, and on May 30, 2025, David proposed. These have been the best years of their lives, and their story is a reminder that when something is truly meant to be, patience and persistence will bring it together in the perfect time.
