Eric & David met working on So You Think You Can Drag, an annual fundraiser benefiting the Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy. Upon spotting Eric across the room, David turned to his sponsor and immediately told her "I think I'm in love"

Eric was barbacking at The Cafe, and when David approached the bar, he immediately stood by the bartender, waiting to memorize David's drink order, A Tropical Red Bull and a Diet Coke. There was something about David that captivated Eric, and he took all of David's drink orders onward whenever he saw him, drinks already waiting for him at the bar.

It was another two star-crossed years of opposite work schedules, missed connections, and lost phone numbers before it was the right time and place.

In 2020 two met as they ran for the Bare Chest Calendar. Sheltering in Place allowed the couple a brief crash course in living together, while the remainder of the year provided opportunities for Zoom Netflix/Karaoke dates.

As the love between them grew during COVID's lockdown period, it eventually led to the first "I Love You"s being said. And eventually, committing to being partners and boyfriends on what better day than VALENTINE'S DAY!

On March 15, 2023, David proposed to Eric, to which Eric said yes, without hesitation.
