It started off in elementary school...we would pass each other in the halls, had a class or two together and was to afraid to approach one another. We then moved on to middle school and had no idea we would end up going to the same school yet again. We both thought to ourselves what a coincidence! Nevertheless feelings and butterflies as teenagers held us back from talking but hey, we could not help but gush every time we would meet at assemblies or the cafeteria or getting of the bus lol. So middle school passes and we both thought that was it, no more butterfly feelings and we will not see each other again...

But there’s this thing called destiny. It was the second class on our first day of Grade 9 and there we were.. sitting in our 9th grade science class and their it was... the high school crush. I couldn’t help but tell myself “ugh not this guy again” lol, trying to avoid the feelings but David just kept popping up. That was only the beginning... we went through 4 years of high school crushing on each other without ever wanting to admit it to each other. So here comes the end of high school, we both moved on to college, getting our jobs, working part time and a year+ has gone by. 

Here I am (Nazmeen) working at Best Buy and my next customer is line is David Silva... our first moment seeing each other after high school and we couldn’t help but smile ear to ear seeing each other. I believe I have never taken this long in my Best Buy career to help out a customer lol. The shift is over and here comes David stalking me on Instagram “sliding in my DM’s” and that was the start of it all, David was not letting go this time lol. I told myself, the most beautiful, sweetest, caring woman has been right in front of me this whole time and I will not let her go again..she’s going to be my wife. We knew then and there that their is no accidental meeting between soulmates..

So one day I (David) was with my friend and he wanted to go to best buy to get something for his phone, so we ended up going to the farther one at heartland that my future wife Nazmeen is working but i didnt know, so we walk in and start looking around and I look to the cashiers and i stare for a good 10 seconds lol at this beautiful woman, which I soon realized was nazy, throughout the whole time we're there I can't stop looking at her, we get in line to check out and im hoping she checks me out, and sure enough she did❤️ I always think myself this was definitely meant to be.

We have both always felt there was something there and have ignored it but there is always faith and destiny. Like all relationships we go through the good and bad but love conquers all. We have loved each other from the moment we have met, even when we were young at hearts. We are honoured and privileged to have our loved ones support us on celebrating our love and our new chapter as one together. 

Our parents, our family... thank you for guiding us as children and teaching us how to love. Because of you today, we are here.
