Although we are having a traditional ceremony, our reception is all about fun. So in the spirit of keeping things light and exciting we will not be doing any speeches or formal dances. This way we have more time for eating great food, playing lawn games, chatting by the bonfire, and dancing the night away!
What is a Smart Casual dress code?
No jeans or shorts, but a suit isn't necessary. The more colour the better. Get your sun dresses out its finally summer! Please note, this is an outdoor wedding so be sure to wear the appropriate dancing shoes.
Do you have a registry?
We will not be having a Bridal Shower or a Jack and Jill event. The most important thing to us is that you are able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. Due to our travel home to Alberta after the celebration, if you wish to give a gift, we will only be able to accept monetary gifts or gift cards.
Is there transportation provided?
Bus Services from Hampton Inn, Barrie (74 Bryne Dr, Barrie, ON L4N 9Y4) to The Gilford Hall 4:00pm pick up at the front doors of the Hampton Inn in Barrie. This bus will return everyone from Gilford Hall to The Hampton Inn at 1:00am
Please note Uber will drive to Gilford but it is for a high cost. If you are not staying late to dance please plan your sober driver accordingly.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is parking you may park along the left side of the hall there is room for about 8-10 cars. There is also room on the south side of the road on Thomas Drive. Please be mindful this is a residential street.
Accomodations
Should you need accommodations please reach out to us directly to let us know as we have arranged to have 10 rooms blocked of at the Hampton Inn in Barrie Ontario. There are specific booking instructions to follow to get a room with the discount. This is where the bus will pick up and drop off as well.

Are children allowed?
Although we love your little ones, we want to have an adults only celebration and wont be able to accommodate children.
