David and Sifa first crossed paths in the Hickory House isle of Hy Vee, surrounded by the familiar smell of rotisserie chicken and tenders. They were both working the afternoon shift, exchanging smiles across the Hickory counter. It started with small chats during breaks, conversations about everything from favorite snacks to shared playlists. Little did they know these small conversations would lead to a great friendship that would end up growing into so much more. Every shift together became more special, the quiet moments preparing the hot case, memories of serving ruthless customers with a side of laughter and glances that lingered just a bit longer than expected. Despite Sifa’s reserved nature, David’s curiosity and persistence helped him ask Sifa on a nice date to the movies. Where she chose to watch the infamous Candyman movie. Later down the road Sifa would find out that David is not quite fond of scary movies. But being the wonderful man he is, he still watches them with her.

After a year of dating, challenging circumstances lead Sifa to leave her old home which David’s undoubtable kind heart insisted that Sifa stay and get comfortable at his home. There is a particular day during that time where they both shared a key loving moment that they will never forget. There's nothing like sharing a home with your best friend and waking up seeing them by your side. As they lived together they got to know each other more on a deeper level. Living together helped them see all aspects of each other such as their goals and ambitions in life.

In the past few years since then, their time together has been an amazing adventure, full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. As usual they've been busy trying to have fun, plan and get settled into their new home. They are so excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife!
