(the first picture we ever took together)

We went to school together starting in the seventh grade, never knowing each other until junior year of high school. We've discovered over the years, through yearbooks and memories, that we were in some of the same classes, the same band concerts, and even the same pictures. Unaware of what the future would hold.

Both being involved in the marching band at high school, it was time for the trip to Disney to perform at the park. Someone had withdrawn last minute, allowing David the opportunity to go. Had that not happened, we may not have met the same way!

David might say he noticed Hanna when he saw her digging through the trash at breakfast to find her retainer (embarrasing), and Hanna would tell you it was when she caught David looking at her when their friend groups ran into each other at the park. Either way, because of the trip, we now knew about the other.

A month or so had passed, without much thought. We both were playing in the pep band for the basketball games. A song was called, and a really good drum solo was performed (at least Hanna thought so), and come to find out it was David. The next morning, Hanna sent David a message. In her mind, she was just saying something nice to a peer, but David kept the conversation going.

About a week later, we went on our first date. We spent the entire day together, going out to eat, and finding any activity just to find reason to extend the day.

And the rest was history.
