From just friends to... I just can’t live without you! This is the story of how two friends become lovers. Sometimes the love you crave and need is closer in proximity than you know. In the case of Dawn Collins & Brandon Kendrick, that saying holds truth. Longtime friends of nearly 20 years decided to take their friendship to another level. It all started from a casual text, that led to calls, that led to a free fall love experience that years later resulted in a magical proposal at sea in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

On February 6, 2023, Brandon and Dawn were on a cruise with their best friend. After a few hours of being on the boat, the cruise ship director started the party as the ship begins to set sail.

Everyone on the ship is on the deck, drinking, eating, dancing and having the time of their lives. Suddenly, Dawn hears her favorite 2-step song begin to play on the loud speaker. Brandon grabs her hand and leads her to the dance floor. While dancing, Brandon gets down on his knee to present Dawn with the most beautiful ring she has ever seen. Dawn's eyes filled with tears as Brandon confesses his love to her in front of thousands of strangers.

As they begin their lives together, Brandon has taken on the bonus dad role to Dawn's children, Kameron and Dre. Together, they are all living their best lives and growing into a beautiful, happy family.
