Our story begins thanks to our dear friend Mindy. She noticed we had similar experiences (a love of our children, an aspiration to build our careers, and more) and thought that we both might find this to be the right time to start a new chapter … together.

In July 2019, we met for a blind date that began with an introductory handshake and that became the moment our stories would forever be entwined. Over beer and wine we shared our life experiences. While we couldn’t connect on the infamous St. Louis question “where did you go to highschool”, we could through our kids! We played the six degrees of separation in St. Louis and realized we had a few colleagues in common. We came to learn that Steve is from the town where Dawn’s son was going to college, we enjoy a similar taste in food, and music, and the more we spoke, the more we realized how much we could connect on.

And as they say, the rest is history.

As five years went by, we have made so many memories together, concerts, hiking, winery trips, to shared family celebrations. We both tried things that were out of our comfort zones, like bike riding (for Dawn), sushi (for Steve), and dance lessons (for both of us!). As time went by, we blended our families and friends. Together, we have created so many fun moments and we have built irreplaceable bonds. What may have started as yours, mine, and ours, mergers and acquisitions; became Dawn and Steve, the perfect blend.
