High School MysteryDayana and Collin went to the same high school, had tons of mutual friends, and somehow never ran into each other… until fate finally introduced them at the end of 2023. First ImpressionsCollin’s very first memory of Dayana is seeing her at work, sipping on a Dr. Pepper — classic Dayana. Modern-Day LoveCollin saw Dayana in person several times but was too nervous to say hello. Like true modern-day love, they ended up meeting online instead. First DateTheir first date was at Texas Roadhouse, and they spent hours talking non-stop like they had known each other forever. Second DateDate number two was a Dallas Mavericks game that just happened to be Festival de Los Mavs night — celebrating Latin American culture. Dayana still swears Collin planned it that way. Car Sick ChroniclesOn their first three dates, Collin’s driving somehow made Dayana car sick — which had literally never happened to her before. Fun fact: he’s the first (and only) person to ever pull that off… and it happened three dates in a row. Dance Disaster Turned TraditionOne of their favorite kinds of date nights is going dancing, even though the first time they hit the dance floor, Collin’s ambitious dip left Dayana with a slight concussion. Let’s just hope he keeps the wedding first dance a little gentler. The Swim CoachAfter years of trying, Dayana finally learned how to swim, and it happened the very first time Collin ever tried teaching her. Adventurous FoodiesThey love eating out, discovering new restaurants, and even trying the weirdest foods on the menu. Safe to say, dinner with these two is never boring. Travel Buddies for LifeSince they met, they have already been on four trips out of the country, explored different states, and visited countless cities together. Traveling has quickly become one of their favorite things to do — whether it’s hopping on a plane or just taking a spontaneous weekend road trip. The Trade-OffEarly on, they made a deal: Dayana would finally learn how to swim, and Collin would learn how to speak Spanish. One of them has already kept their end of the bargain… the other is still working on it. Practically NeighborsDayana and Collin lived just 0.4 miles apart during their engagement, so when it’s time to move in together, they might just walk their stuff over. The Spanish ProposalWhen it came time to ask for Dayana’s hand, Collin did it entirely in Spanish, memorizing every word in hopes of winning over her parents in their own language. And Then There Was DaisySoon after saying yes to forever, they brought home Daisy May, their miniature poodle, who has since stolen their hearts and claimed her rightful place as their first baby. The Turks and Caicos ProposalFrom early on, it was clear there was a future together, and the talk of a proposal came just months after meeting. So when Collin eventually proposed, it wasn’t unexpected — but the timing and place were a complete surprise. They had planned to go ring shopping once they landed back home from their “one year” trip. They spent three whole days in Turks and Caicos without Dayana suspecting a thing. The only slip? On the morning of the proposal, Collin was unusually eager to start the day, a dead giveaway for anyone who knows he’s the least morning person on the planet. Still, Dayana brushed it off as excitement since it was their last full day on the island. What she didn’t know was that Collin had quietly planned every detail, and before the day was over, he would be down on one knee on the shores of Turks and Caicos, with the sun setting in the distance — knowing it’s her favorite way to end the day — asking her to be his forever.
