They say timing is everything and our story proves it.We first met at a birthday party years ago, just two people connected through mutual friends. I thought he was cute but shy, and he thought I was cute and a little nervous. We laughed, talked a little, and went our separate ways, not realizing that fate had already started writing our story.Life carried us in different directions, until one ordinary day at the Columbia Mall changed everything. I heard someone call my name, turned around, and there he was same smile, same spark. What started as a simple “Hey, De’Asia?” turned into long conversations, inside jokes, and summer days that felt like the beginning of forever.Since then, we’ve grown together always pushing each other to be better, celebrating every milestone, and finding laughter even in the smallest moments. He keeps me grounded; I keep him smiling. Together, we’ve learned that love doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be real.And the proposal? It couldn’t have been more us. He had two grand plans, brunch at our favorite spot or a picture-perfect moment at the aquarium but nerves had other ideas. Instead, he asked me to close my eyes and hold out my hand. When I opened them, there he was on one knee, ring in hand, heart on his sleeve. No fancy setup, no big crowd , just pure love and the beginning of forever.Their story isn’t just a romance. It’s a reminder that sometimes, love finds you twice. Once at hello, and again at “I can’t imagine my life without you.”
