One of Frank Lloyd Wrights most famous creations, Chandler and I visited Fallingwater in 2020 when he came home with me to meet my family for the first time.

Ohiopyle is a small town and state park not far from where Deanna grew up. There is plenty to do like whitewater rafting, kayaking, hiking, and biking. For a quicker trip, make sure you see Ohiopyle falls and walk across both bridges to do the short hike to Cucumber Falls.

The Hager family comes here to camp almost every year. There is hiking, fishing, kayaking, and there are cabins available to rent.

Somerset County has 10 Covered bridges. The two closest to the venue are the Baronvale Covered Bridge and King’s Covered Bridge.

Moo Echo is a small Amish grocery store in Somerset. They have ice cream, milk, and homemade desserts just to name a few. Every time my family camps at Laurel Hill, we would visit the store and get some treats or soft serve ice cream!

If you have the opportunity, there are loads of things to do in the city of Pittsburgh. Take a ride on the Duquesne Incline, or see the Pirates play at PNC Park. One of the more iconic spots in Pittsburgh is Point State Park. For a more educational activity, there is the Andy Warhol Museum, Carnegie Science Center, and Heinz History Center. For a local snack, visit the Strip District and get homemade pierogi!
