Eric liked one of Deanna’s answers. On Hinge, the guy can give a thumbs up or respond to one of the profile prompts, but the girl chooses whether or not she wants to respond.

Deanna looked at his profile and thought, “aww he’s cute, I will respond to him!” But at the time, she was still talking and going on dates with a few other people, and so was he.

One pandemic, one cat, plenty of brunches, and many fun adventures with family and friends later, Eric surprised Deanna with a proposal that she was not anticipating at the time.

Even with Deanna living across the street, Eric managed to purchase a beautiful surprise ring, plan this proposal, ask for her parent’s blessing, and gather all their friends without any suspicion from Deanna.

When they got home, Eric had already planned an engagement party, and Deanna was once again surprised and crying to see so many of her loved ones from SD, OC, and LA come together to celebrate with them.
