How do I RSVP?
Send in your RSVP card! Or, you can RSVP on the website. If neither works for you, please reach out to us! Deanna's cell is (203) 695-1105 :)
Is the venue handicap accessible?
Yes! There will be handicap parking available as well. For more questions about the venue's handicap accessibility, please email events@southfarms.org.
Is there parking available?
Yes. There will be designated parking areas as well as parking attendants on staff to help.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both! The ceremony will (weather permitting) be held outside, and the reception will be held indoors. However, we have a backup ceremony barn if the weather is horrible. This is fall in New England, after all!
What should I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. We want our guests to feel comfortable yet a little bit fancy in whatever outfit they choose. No jeans, please!
Also, keep in mind that the wedding is partially outdoors. So, tall or thin heels might not be the best choice if you want to be comfortable.
What is the weather like in the area?
If you're not from around here, you should know that the weather in Connecticut can be incredibly unpredictable, especially during the fall. Even if during the day it is 70 degrees and sunny, it could be 40 degrees by the end of the night. Check the weather the week of, and make sure to pack for any scenario!
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Due to space constraints for our venue, we are not allowing our guests to bring anyone not named on the invitation or save the date. We are generally giving guests plus ones if they are with a long-term partner they are living with and/or are engaged/married to. If you have any questions about this, please talk to us!
What type of food will be served?
We will have multiple food stations (buffet style) during the reception. The stations will feature a carving theme with two sides and two meats, and then a pasta theme with many different types of pastas (we are both Italian, we had to!). We will also have hor d'oeurves and dessert. If you have allergy/dietary restrictions that we may not be aware of, please let us know in advance so we can get in touch with our caterer ASAP about accommodations.
Will there be an open bar?
Of course! Please, no BYOB. We will have plenty of drink options for you at the venue. Just know, our venue also has a very strict "no shots" policy.
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
We will have an option to send it directly to our house! This will be extremely helpful since it will be difficult for us to transport large gifts on the day. We will also have a card box at the venue.
Also, gifts are by no means required - we are just happy to have you celebrate with us!
What time should I arrive?
Please try to be there around 30 minutes before the ceremony start time. We want to make sure everyone is settled in and can find parking. Also, traffic might sneak up on you!
What time are we done?
10:00PM. The bar will start closing at 9:30PM.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
Yes, but please, not at the ceremony!
We want everyone to be present with us while we get married. We also do not want to be looking at someone's cell phone while walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time. And, our photographer is AWESOME. We want to see your smiling face in the photos, not your phone! Please check out her website here to see how great she and her photos are: https://alanalynnphotography.com
We will share plenty of photos following the wedding from the photographer, so you don't have to worry about missing any moments. But if you love taking photos, at any other point please feel free!
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
Yes, as long as you didn't take them from the ceremony! We will be posting and sharing photos from the professional photographer as well (see above question).
I have more questions, what do I do?
You can contact us at maxanddeannawedding@gmail.com. You can also text Deanna at (203) 695-1105 or Max at (203) 577-7511. Just know that Deanna is more likely to reply because Max gets a lot of texts from his work! (Deanna is also more likely to know the answer to your question. Lol.)
