Alex and Deanna met back in college, through her sister Kristin who was attending Fredonia State. Both went to Orchard Park High School, just graduating 1 year apart. Ironically Deanna & Alex both attended Niagara University, and overlapped schooling for a couple of years. They had always been friends, and would see each other out from time to time .

In the summer of 2021 at the East Aurora Music festival, they ran into each other. They began to see each other more which included frequent stops to the Big Tree while Deanna bar tended.

That fall Zac Brown Band was in town and Deanna heard Alex was going to be attending the concert with some friends, so she decided to ask her sister for his number.

One month later, they began dating after a fun trip to Nashville, TN!

In January 2023, Alex popped the question, and they began the rest of their lives together.
