Hello everyone! We'll share a little bit about our story.

We live in 2 different country. Debora lives in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Milan lives in Colorado, USA.


How we met is very unique. We were introduced by our close relatives (Milan’s Sunday School teacher / Debby’s aunt). The conversation really get along from the start of Milan's first text to Debby ;)

Where it all begins...
In August, Milan flew 9000 miles to Jakarta, Indonesia. It felt like a dream to finally see each other in person for the first time after almost 4 months by virtual.

We shared the same hobby, travel! One of the things we are grateful to find each other is our interest of travel. We enjoy seeing new places, being in nature, and eat good food! Clockwise >> 1). Sunset Sky in Gili Meno Island, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia. 2). Captain and Crew T-Shirt, the merchandise we bought from Le Pirate Resort, Gili Meno. 3). Snorkeling in the Gilis. 4). Visiting Balinese Temple in Bali.

Back to LDR Life... Time difference : Jakarta is 13 hours ahead of Colorado. This time difference works really well for both of us. We do video/phone calls twice a day >> Debby's morning & Milan's Evening, vice versa.

And after only 3 months back in the US, Milan went back to Indonesia for Christmas!! God is so good to us, we felt so blessed to celebrate Christmas together..

Back to LDR and this was the longest for us: 7 months!! Work, circle of family and friends kept us busy. While in LDR, Debby proceed her US Tourist Visa to visit Milan someday, and she got it successfully

She said YES!! In a beautiful setting of small town called UJI in Kyoto, Japan, Milan proposed to Debby. It was an intimate moment and truly unforgettable.

Summer in Colorado!! So, Debby’s back in America end of May 2024 for some special occasions! Staying at The Simanjuntak - Simangunsong family house in Aurora, with the cutest resident “Rocky” the dog. In between, we took trips to some small town. Also got to celebrate Milan’s birthday for the first time while we’re together!! Very happy moment.
Main reason for Deb’s trip: attending (to be) brother in law’s wedding, Gilang & Caitlyn. Beautiful mountain wedding at the Lions!

And sooo, we did our civil marriage ceremony at the court. According to the U.S. law, we are husband and wife now!! Next, we’re looking forward to Indonesian wedding: holy matrimony, cultural wedding & the intimate party!
