Our story began at Southern Miss in Summer 2018. We were both working on campus as part of the Conference and Events Staff. After we realized both of our birthdays were in the summer, we became best friends along with Kourtney Harris. We developed our own friend group and were the best of friends for the next two years. In Summer 2020, we reconnected again by traveling to Mobile, Alabama for a friend's birthday celebration. A pretty turbulent thunderstorm allowed us to get to know each other on a deeper level. As that fall approached, Usama invited me over for a dinner party. After that spectacular afternoon, we both knew it was only a matter of time. After watching Ted the movie and a trip to WingStop, he asked me to be his girlfriend, the rest was history!"
