She prayed for him, he prayed for her. God looked down and thought, "They don't even know it yet, but they already have a prayer life together."

It's crazy to think we stood in the same room many times and never spoke, nor remember one another. It's crazy how our families know each other but we never met.

It's crazy to think we lived both a world apart and a stones throw away from one another, yet never crossed paths until June 3, 2017.

We don't always know why God makes some wait and others not. On this day, God answered old prayers and new; prayers prayed over two loved children, siblings and friends. This day God abundantly provided not only what was asked but what was needed.

On that June morning, we met at Big Bad Breakfast for a two hour conversation that began a life-long pursuit of each other and a Love only known through Jesus.

We've quickly become familiar with one another and have found a piece of a puzzle that hasn't fit before. Early on, we had opportunities to encourage and witness each other chase our passions and goals; an MMA fight for Deidra and a drag race for Jake. We even packed our bags and headed across the world together to Japan. Experiencing events, places, family and friends together has helped us see each other a little more clearly.

Many conversations, laughs and road trips later, we can be found typing this story together over a Publix rotisserie chicken and music that [might be] a little too loud.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." [Proverbs 27:17]

We feel so grateful to journey and adventure through this life, and toward the life to come... together.
