Delaney and Matt’s story began at Taunton High School, where they started dating during their senior year. After graduation, they tackled a long-distance relationship with Delaney headed to Elon University in North Carolina, while Matt studied at UMass Amherst. Despite the miles between them, their relationship only grew stronger.

In 2022, they moved into their first apartment together in Providence, Rhode Island, and in June 2024, they made the move to Boston, where they now live. Delaney works as an Events and Development Manager at Expect Miracles Foundation, and Matt is a Senior Software Engineer at General Dynamics.

Delaney and Matt share a love for travel and adventure, but some of their favorite moments are the simple ones: spending time with friends and family, catching a movie, playing board games, exploring new cocktail and wine bars, and taking long walks together. They also have a serious soft spot for chocolate chip cookie skillets and are currently on a mission to try every one in Boston (recommendations welcome!).

On April 11, 2025, Matt proposed to Delaney at Newport Vineyards during a weekend getaway to one of their favorite coastal towns. After a walk through the vines, Matt got down on one knee, surprising Delaney with a moment that was equal parts personal, thoughtful, and unforgettable.

Now engaged, they’re soaking up every moment of this exciting chapter, planning their wedding, dreaming about the future, and making the most of their time together in Boston.
