When Delaney moved to Kansas City, it was to start a new job and be closer to her sister Maggie, who was about to welcome her first child. But as luck would have it, the week Delaney’s moving pod arrived, Maggie went into labor! With no one around to help her move in, Maggie’s husband, Brandon, turned to his friend Drew and asked if he’d be willing to lend a hand. The catch? Drew and Delaney had never met before, so the situation was a little...awkward. But that quickly changed as they started talking music—both were huge fans of metal and metalcore. What started as a move turned into a full-blown connection, and by the time they finished unloading the truck, they were already planning to grab margaritas and Mexican food together. One night turned into many more, and before long, they both realized this was more than just a friendship. From that moment on, their bond only grew stronger, leading them here—ready to start this next chapter together, with love, laughter, and a lot more music.

Museums :  Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art – Big lawn. GIANT birdies (aka shuttlecocks). Fancy paintings. Freeee! Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art – Modern art that makes you go “Ooh!” and “Huh?” – also free! National WWI Museum and Memorial – Big tower! History! Very serious but super cool. Arabia Steamboat Museum – Sunken boat full of old stuff! Like a pirate’s attic. American Jazz Museum – Smooth music. Fancy hats. Coffee Shops Messenger Coffee Co. – Gorgeous multi-level café with a rooftop patio. Monarch Coffee – Clean aesthetic, strong coffee game. Oddly Correct – Small, artsy, and very serious about their craft. Splitlog Coffee Co. – Across the river in KCK, cool vibe and a bit off the beaten path.

FYI: there is a lot going on in KC our wedding weekend. If you plan on staying until Monday or coming in before the wedding you will not be bored!  The Outlaw Days downtown, Oktoberfest, Ciderfest, Applefest in Weston. Just to name a few things.
