We first met at Minnesota State University Moorhead when we both transferred to finish our degrees. During, the first week of school we were put in the same transfer group and became friends. Slowly, we got to know each other a little more, which led to us each growing feelings for each other. Noah finally asked Delani on a date in October. We had our first date on 10/12/2021 at Paradisos and finished the night off with going to see the Dear Evan Hansen Movie. A week later, we became official! Noah asked Delani to be his girlfriend on 10/15/2021. Noah said I guess I wouldn't be opposed to call you my girlfriend. From then on we were inseparable and would do everything together.

Throughout the school year, we went on various dates and adventures. After the school year ended, we went medium distance as Noah was working in Detroit Lakes and Delani was working in Brainerd.

Flashforward to May 2023 we both graduated from MSUM and were excited for the next chapter ahead of us. Noah accepted a position at United Savings Credit Union in Detroit Lakes and Delani accepted a position at Fargo Public Schools. This meant that we were going to be distanced a little bit.

On April 5th 2024, Noah asked the big question! We first went out to dinner at the Tavern, which is where our first date as a couple was. Delani got to pick the dinner spot and she had no clue what was going to happen after dinner. After dinner, we decided to go for a walk. Noah chose MSUM to go for a walk. When walking through the center of campus, Noah got down on one knee and asked the question. He also said "Delani, you know I love you. Will you marry me?" Delani was quite surprised and asked "is this real?" Of course, Delani said yes. To celebrate we went for drinks with friends in downtown Fargo. Since then we've been planning the biggest celebration of our lives and we can't wait to celebrate our love with you!
