One girl. That's me. Late summer, early fall 2018.

And one boy. That's Hayden.

Hayden and I were both living at the same apartment complex. He moved into my ward around April 2018, but I never knew it. I often went home that summer and Hayden basically lived at his mission companion's house the same summer. So, it ended up being that we met in August. Well technically. I saw him once in August and didn't think much of it. Then we officially, officially met...?? At some point in August or September because of mutual friends. And then it was love at first sight!

Not. Even though we had mutual friends and hung out Hayden and I actually don't really remember each other from August 2018-February 2019...

We really became friends in March 2019 and I don't know how, but one day I looked at Hayden and, "BAM!" I got that same feeling/thought I'm sure we've all experienced before. "Oh, no. I have a crush again." So! I initiated spending more time together and soon enough we were watching tv, taking long walks, and going to concerts together.

Here we are on our way to our first concert together. Hayden later told me that it was after this concert he realized he might like me.

So, we kept hanging out and eventually told each other how we felt, started dating, and the months kept rolling...

And here we are.

Getting married August 22nd, 2020 and we couldn't be more excited!!

Hayden’s Side...

First Thought:


So funny story. We technically met September 2018. I had a new roommate that was good friends with almost everyone in her apartment, and I was invited by him to go over. Everyone was super friendly, but Deli, being the shy one in the apartment didn't say much. After that, our two apartments hung out a lot, but we never really interacted. In fact, that December both of our apartments went to see the Christmas lights at Temple Square together, and both of us remember all of the other's roommates being there, but have no recollection of each other.

Becoming friends and more:


It wasn't until late that March, that we started becoming friends. One of her roommates and I discovered we watched the same show in high school, so we decided to rewatch it together. That roommate knew that Deli also liked that show and so she started inviting her to watch with us. As we started watching together we started to get more friendly around each other and started to hang around each other more and more.

The One:


It was a gradual process and before I knew it I wanted to marry her.
