Delisa and Jacob first met in 2015 when Delisa transferred to Cardington High-School and was entering in to her freshmen year and Jacob was going to be a senior. Now at this point, the couple knew of one another but Jacob and Delisa were friends, as Delisa's older brother Derek was the real reason as to why the couple new one another at this time.

Fast forward to summer 2021, when Jacob had just recently graduated from The Ohio State University and Delisa from Ohio State ATI. Soon after graudation Jacob reached out to Delisa to go out on "friend date". On June 14, 2021 during the "friend date", the couple had an amazing time and was wanting to do it again but was trying to find a way to tell Derek that Jacob(Derek's good friend) took Delisa(Derek's little sister) out on a date and broke "bro code". Rest assured, Derek was perfectly fine with the situation and gave Jacob the big brother talk!

Jacob asked Delisa to be his girlfriend on July 9, 2021 at the Mount Gilead State Park up on the hill on a beautiful summer day while sitting on their special bench.

During their time of dating, Delisa and Jacob have been able to share so many lasting memories with one another. A few of their favorites; going to the beach for vacation, attending their first OSU football game together, and raising their new puppy Gibby!

Jacob proposed on September 3, 2023 at the Mount Gilead State Park, right back to where their love story started a little over 2 years ago.

We can't wait to celebrate with all of our family and friends as we say "I do" in July!
