Our story starts on a warm late summer night in London. Delphine walked into the dimly lit bar, her heart heavy from a long day, and immediately felt a magnetic pull towards the man sitting alone at the counter. Martin looked up from his drink, his gaze meeting hers with an intensity that took her breath away. In that fleeting moment, the world around them seemed to dissolve, leaving just the two of them in a bubble of destiny. Martin's eyes, a mesmerizing blend of warmth and mystery, locked onto Delphine's, and he knew he had found the one his soul had been searching for. This is the story which was told to both their parents. The reality of the situation was that Delphine downloaded Tinder before coming to London, swiped right, and voila, there was her prince in shining armour, Martin. That being said, the first date was a bit like the story above. On the 3rd of September, literally on Delphine’s 2nd day in London, Martin suggested to meet in a typical, but classy, pub in East London called the Astronomer. As Martin was anxiously waiting for Delphine to arrive, he spotted her immediately as she walked towards the bar in her beautiful red coat. With her chic French look, Martin couldn't think it could get more French than this, but then Delphine spoke and Martin heard one of the strongest, but most beautiful, French accents. The evening was off to a great start as Delphine tasted her first Fish & Chips and British Stake & Ale Pie, the best of the British pub cuisine. Even though Delphine couldn't understand half of what Martin was saying and her dictionary was of little help, she still found him charming. As the evening was closing off, Martin noticed that in the heart of their deep conversation, his laptop bag along with his passport got stolen from right underneath their feet. What felt like a horrible moment at first, became a blessing in disguise as Martin soon realised that he didn't have any valid travel documents to fly out on his planned vacation and instead, spent a lovely weekend with Delphine.

It took them all but 6 months to move in together and while being locked inside their home for the majority of it due to a global health crisis, their biggest test came when Delphine got an enticing new job opportunity. The only issue was, it was 1000 km away, in a city surrounded by majestic mountains and crystal clear water. It was this moment where Martin knew he had to make a big decision and, being the helpless romantic he was, he followed Delphine to the beautiful town of Geneva.

The next few years flew by as their passion for nature, food, and good wine were easily fulfilled by many trips to various regions of France. Their love of a good ski season made the cold and dark winters glimmer as they spent their weekends on the slopes and in a cozy chalet in Saint Jean dAulps. In fact it was in this chalet where Martin popped the question on 18th of November 2022. Without hesitation, Delphine said ‘yes’ and here we are… 2 years later, we can finally say.. Delphine and Martin are getting married.
