On the night of Halloween Eve, Neon Moon pulsed with music, neon lights, and the clatter of voices bouncing off the walls. Among the crowd of people who hadn’t bothered with costumes, there wandered a girl dressed as Elastigirl. Her red suit and black mask stood out like a flare in the dim glow, but in the room she felt oddly out of place. Then she spotted him... Or rather, she stumbled into him—her so-called prince charming, though he looked nothing like the fairy tales. A gray Nike hoodie, faded blue jeans, and sneakers that had survived one too many battles. Still, something about him made her stop. (He was cute) #lol She marched right up—confidently, or maybe on the edge of deranged—and blurted out, “Are you single?!” He blinked, a little stunned, then admitted he was. That was it. The gates opened. Suddenly he was under cross-examination, her voice rapid-fire over the music: “Do you live with your mom? Are you secretly in a cult? What’s your credit score? Do you like me?!” The questions flew like dodgeballs at recess, half-serious, half-sarcastic, and somehow entirely endearing. By the end of it, he wasn’t sure if he’d just been hit on or recruited into a game show—but either way, he still gave her his phone number and all social media. #rizz The rest, as you know, led to an engagement ring two years later in New York City Central Park—the beginning of another beautiful story… probably involving more interrogations, questionable decisions, and a whole lot of laughter.
