They met at church. They are both members of Hunter First Baptist Church.

Denise! Although Richard flirted and made his interest obvious, she got his phone number from a friend and sent the first text.

The Creeper Trail. Unbeknownst to Denise, but known to everyone else, this was out of the norm for Richard; he was trying to impress the girl...and it worked!

First they love to just loaf (as he calls it) around. Richard is the best loafing partner! He will go wherever and go all day without complaining. It is usually Denise that has to call it a day. Second favorite thing they love to do are concerts. They have seen Crowder, MercyMe, Chris Tomlin, Zac Williams, Micah Tyler, Toby Mac, Big Daddy Weave, Casting Crowns, Austin French, Aaron Shust, Newsboys, and here most recently, Chicago! Denise's favorite of all time. Him working on his "experience" planning, and he did AWESOME! Was definitely an exciting surprise for Denise!

Denise. Richard is more the "go with the flow", tell me where we're going, type of person and he is really good at it. Never complains (well mostly never).

They are equally yoked at this. Denise is better at planning "experience" gifts but Richard is definitley an excellent gift giver as well. And he is getting better with planning surprise experiences as well. He knows Denise's love language is quality time and he takes strides to make the effort.

Denise did! Denise was born and raised in Miami, FL thereby learning spanish. She is not fluent but she can get by. One thing she loves to do is say little phrases or words to Richard in spanish. One day she told him "te quiero". Richard, being more clever than he lets on, googled it. Richard took quite a bit longer to say it though.

Neither one. They are both pretty equal. Both would give you the shirt off their backs yet both are not purposely wreckless either.

Hmmm...Denise! She isn't a slob but Richard definitely is on the other end of the spectrum!

Based on where they are today, they would say, "whoever needed to". Neither one has an issue saying they are sorry when it is warranted.

Richard is. Denise would be the more flexible, playful and spontaneous one. They work together because each one recognizes, and is willing, to bend to the other's personality traits at certain times without feeling like they are losing themselves or changing who they are in the process.

That would be...Denise! Must be the Italian in her! HAHAHAHA

Richard! Denise loves his deep baritone voice.

Richard and Denise will be taking a nine day cruise to Alaska! This is something they have always wanted to do and decided it would be the best honeymoon for them. Denise also just retired after 33 1/2 years working for the post office so it's a little bit of both...honeymoon/retirement! They are both excited! (Yes! Richard gets excited! Don't let him fool ya. LOL)

Yes. Denise's pet name for Richard is Baby Handsome. He is her Baby Handsome.

The answer might surprise you. It's almost a tie. Richard takes just as long, if not longer, to get ready. But he sure does clean up nicely just saying.

Do you have to ask? Show him grace. He's getting better. HAHAHAHA

The temperature! He likes it hot and she needs it cold. Ladies you feel me? This will be interesting...

That would be Richard.

We were both raised in different cultures and are probably as different as night and day, but the one thing we are absolutely the same is in our faith. We both love Jesus and know the world is not our home. Through trials and tribulations, we were made for greater things.

He is summer; she is winter. He loves being on the water; she says, "can't get my hair wet". He lives to eat; she eats to live. His glass is half empty; hers is half full. He is documentary, discovery, history; she is reality, romance, HGTV yea BABY! He is rock n roll; she is country. He is shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops; she is jeans, sweatshirt and boots. He loves seafood; she can't be in the same building with it. He is fried; she is baked. He is Dr. Enuf, gatorade and sweet tea, she is only water.

Richard proposed on January 1, 2025, New Year's Day.

Richard cooked Filet Mignon and baked potato for our lunch. He brought flowers. He insisted on doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. Denise was sitting on the couch and in a blur he was down on one knee with a ring and asked her to be his wife. And now they have a wedding website! PTL
