Our Wedding

God works in mysterious and sometimes digital ways. Nick and Denise met on Catholic Match, proving that yes, even divine matchmaking occasionally involves profile pictures and good Wi-Fi. Denise joined the site on Nick’s birthday (They’re still deciding if that was fate or just really great timing), looked at his profile, and caught his attention.   He messaged her first proving that chivalry and inboxes are not dead! They started talking and eventually decided to meet in Oklahoma City, their halfway point between Fort Worth and Hennessey. Since then, they’ve become seasoned long-distance pros, with many dates in OKC and Ardmore. Denise has even taken the train (shoutout to Amtrak) more than once, because love requires effort and travel sometimes.   Along the way, they’ve shared so many meaningful moments, including visiting the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine in Oklahoma City a powerful experience that reminded them to stay rooted in faith as they grow in love. They’ve also made memories in Stillwater, Nick’s hometown Fort Worth, and Denise’s hometown of Hennessey (a small town with a big heart).   Their relationship has been built on prayer, patience, inside jokes, road trip snacks, and a deep desire to keep Christ at the center of their journey. And now, after many miles and many rosaries, they can’t wait to say I do in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony surrounded by the people they love, who’ve cheered them on, and supported them.
