DNAs story began in the spring of 2015 with a Snapchat blunder when Deon shared a photo of her exam answer, humorously stating lol idk. Alex responded with a laugh, and in a mix-up, Deon sent a silly double chin photo, thinking it was meant for another friend. The surprise reply from Alex left her mortified, but she later joked that at least he saw her at her most unfiltered. This sparked a conversation that blossomed into a connection . Fast forward to October 25, 2015, when Alex took Deon out for pizza while watching the sunset, and with the line, I know its cheesy, but will you be my girlfriend?—she happily accepted. In 2019, they took a big step and moved in together, sharing their lives with their beloved pets. Fast forward to July 3, 2024, nearly nine years later, when Alex finally proposed, marking a significant milestone in their journey together. On October 25, 2025, Deon and Alex will celebrate a full circle moment, ten years to the day since they became official, as they exchanged vows and said I DO! We cant wait to celebrate with you all!
