How Derek Fell For CorinCorin and Derek met at the infamous Zi South (RIP). It was our favorite bar, because we each worked across the street (Corin at Blake Street Tavern, Derek at Breckenridge Colorado Craft). They had many mutual friends, so their circles began to become one and the same. After a few years of friendship, Corin broke the tough news that she was moving home to Cortez. The comfortability with one another (and never discussed mutual attraction) compelled Derek to spill his guts, because, really, what did he have to lose? Corin was flattered, but realistic. Long distance wouldn’t work, so we would remain friends. Luckily, Derek was up for the challenge of the pursuit. He made several trips to Cortez, each time hoping he could change her mind. But it wasn’t until Corin accepted Derek’s offer to be his date to Jeff’s wedding that sparks really began to fly. Derek delivered “the best Best Man speech of all-time” and won over everyone in the room...especially Corin. Corin realized that night that she should probably give Derek a real shot. The rest is history. Many vacations and a moving truck later, our love has never been stronger.How Corin fell for DerekSoon after meeting Derek, I developed an immediate crush. He was an amazing guy, certain to make me blush.At the time, I felt much too shy to make the first move. So I said nothing and we got into a friendship kind of groove.Over time we easily became best friends, but as we all know, that’s not how this story ends.A couple years later, I decided to pack up and move back home. It was at this point Derek had feelings he had to make known.He said that he loved me and asked me to stay. I said it’s too late, but he was adamant there must be a way.Derek was persistent, not for a second did he ever give up. He went above and beyond, I’m sure he was never going to stop.Long distance?! I couldn’t fathom a world where this made sense. But he was determined and I eventually gave in to his persistence.I agreed to be his date, as friends, to his best friends wedding. This is where my reservations about us, I’d soon be shedding.It was this perfect moment as he gave the most amazing best man speech, that I realized resisting his love made me kind of a beech.Once I realized just how perfect we were for one another, thinking back on my stubbornness always makes me shutter.My eyes were now open and I realized that my love for him was so pure. Suddenly I realized that never once in my life had I been so sure.We spent the next several years adventuring the world together, everyday realizing that as a team we were so much better.I guess at this point you know the rest, thanks for reading...as my poetry isn’t the best.

Our Story

This is the wedding venue! We have reserved 23 cabins, a row of RV parking, and the first 10 campsites closest to the reception site (all of these will be available to book, details to follow). We can't wait to party in close proximity to most of you for the whole weekend! These accomodations will fill up fast, so it will be first come, first served. Hotels, motels, and AirBnB's in Durango, Mancos, and Cortez will be your next best bet.

Echo Basin Cabin and RV Resort

For those of you located outside of beautiful Colorado, this will most likely be your first stop on your trip to see us. From here, you can hop on another plane to either Durango or Cortez... or you can rent a car or RV and road trip it down to southwest Colorado. An hour by plane, or 7 hours on the road. The adventure is yours, so make the most of it!

Denver International Airport

United Airlines is one of the airlines that flies into Durango. From here, you'll have roughly a 35 minute drive to the venue! Call us to come pick you up, or rent a car or RV for the weekend!

Durango-La Plata County Airport

Our tiny, local airport. From here, you can cruise down Main Street and see what Cortez has to offer. A 30-minute drive is all that's left before you get to the venue! Call us to come pick you up or rent a car for the weekend.

There will be a whole bunch of fun activities to take part in over the course of the weekend. Grab some friends, or make some new friends and compete for bragging rights!

Cornhole, Volleyball, Pickleball, & Horseshoes

Guests can take a short hike to explore the beauty surrounding the wedding venue. Bring some hiking boots or tennis shoes and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Durango is a beautiful city with a historic downtown. Tons of great restaurants, bars, and breweries. Ask us for suggestions, we have plenty!

Enjoy the scenery and take a tour of the ancient cliff dwellings!

Things to Do

Introducing my first best friend, the person who speaks 'Corin' best, my little sister CARL! She is the most genuine, reliable person around, unless you're trying to reach her by cell phone, of course. Regardless, she's the best and I am so honored to have her as my maid of honor (MOH #1)!

The most entertaining person I know. He has been my best friend since 4th grade. Hard to really sum up our friendship, because we have so many incredible memories together. I love that Jeff is an eternal optimist: thinks the Cowboys are gonna win the Super Bowl every year! I know that whenever I need him, he'll be there. A real BFF, awwwwww.

Introducing MOH #2, little Wolf, baby sister, Gabzilla (Gabby)! This girl is the most loyal around, I think I can honestly say she's the only person in my life that nearly fought a grown ass man in my defense. While she may put on a tough exterior, she has a huge heart and a passionate soul. I am so proud have to her as my second Maid of Honor! (@Gabby: you were born second, get over it)

My Kyrsie Lynn! Ugh this girl is my original soullllll sister, without a doubt. We were kindred spirits from the very beginning, a bit awkward but mostly hilarious. She is the person who listens without judgement and keeps me sane. There is not an alternate reality where she isn't standing by my side on my wedding day!

Ty Law. The first roommate I ever had, keeping it classy in Durward Hall at Colorado State University. A very fun dude to let loose with, and the most fun ball-buster in my life. Above is a picture of Tyler and my favorite athlete of all-time, Warrick Dunn. I'm still jealous, Tyler.

This is Madi, she is very much one of the best people in my life for so many reasons. Although I have arguably known her the longest, our "best"-friendship came later in life when I think we both needed each other the most. She is a rock, she is genuine, she is kind, and I am so grateful to have her on my side!

Keith, as you can see in the picture above, is a real bad boy. We met before a Killers concert at Red Rocks, and he had a stolen seesaw in his living room. I knew I had to be friends with him at that point. Phenomenal taste in music, and a loyal friend.

I don't have a brother, but if I did, I pick Eli. This guy is truly the funniest person I know. He moves through life with such humorous humility and a laugh that is simply contagious. I totally appreciate him agreeing to stand up here with all my girls, I wouldn't have it any other way!

My favorite sister. The toughest, most foul-mouthed broad in the world. Despite her hard-to-crack exterior, she has a heart of gold and loves her family more than anything.

MEOW! Katie is my gardening guru, my fellow dog mom, my best friend, and honestly my #1 fan. So many times when I feel like I have no control she brings me back down to earth and into reality. She is my grounding spirit and I am so grateful to have her as a part of my wedding day <3

My red-neck, Subaru sister. The one who sparked my adventurous spirit for the outdoors, and for beer. I can always count on her for a partner in crime or a shoulder to cry on, however I'm feeling that day. We can go months without speaking and pick up right where we left off, arguably the best kind of friend!
