Hi Everyone! Welcome to our non-traditional wedding weekend. The weekend will be hosted at Camp Cody in Freedom, NH -but it will be renamed Camp Coyne for our takeover!
We can't wait to celebrate with you all.
DID I READ THIS WRONG... IS THIS WEDDING AT A SUMMER CAMP?
You read it 100% right. This is a wedding at a summer camp!
FOR A WHOLE WEEKEND?
Yes! Well, if you want to stay the whole weekend we would love for you to!
The weekend will start off on Friday night where we want people to come, check in, get settled and join us for dinner and a welcome bonfire. Saturday we will have breakfast, games and camp activities then the wedding in the afternoon. Sunday we will have a farewell brunch to celebrate the send off. Don't worry, you don't have to remember this all right now - we will hand out programs when you check in that will tell you the itinerary!
When you say check in, you mean a hotel?
Ohhh no. This is a camp! We have cabins! This may not be your typical or preferred place to stay but it will be a part of the experience. We want to tell you this - this is our dream weekend and we want you all to be a part of it! Camp Cody is a kids summer camp then runs weddings all spring and fall, they know what they are doing and know how to keep you comfortable! The cabins are all a little different, but for the most part have 8 twin bunk beds, 2 showers, 2 bathrooms, and 2 sinks. They have modern electricity, heat and hot water. We will organize you to be bunking up with your loved ones and will not be stacked with too many people per room.
What if I don’t want to stay in a cabin?
If even after all our convincing you don’t want to stay in a cabin, you of course do not have to. There is one motel 10 minutes down the street and a couple nicer hotels about a 30 minute drive away. You can find that info on the lodging page.
How do we get to and from the hotels?
Nice try! All accommodations for the weekend are on the campground. If you decide to stay off then you need to be responsible and have a designated sober driver to get yourself to and from. This is a pretty rural part of NH and there are no cabs or ubers. Trust us, all the action will be on the campground, you will want to stay there!
OK you have convinced me, how do I check in to my cabin?
YAY, so happy for you to join us! Once you have received the formal invite and RSVP there will be information on how to book and pay for your cabin stay. The address is 9 Cody Road, Freedom NH. Please enter on the Cody Road entrance and park in the Guest Parking. From there you will find your way to the Admin Building where you will get your cabin assignment, itinerary and all other information you will need to have fun!
What do I need to bring for this weekend?
You will need to bring casual dinner attire for the first night, semi-formal for the wedding night and whatever you feel comfy in for the rest of the weekend! We will be playing games and if warm enough even sitting by the lake, bring whatever you would like and definitely comfy shoes. For the cabins please bring what you would need to be comfortable sleeping in, extra pillows and blankets, bug spray, sunscreen, extra snacks, drinks and water! Coolers are suggested, and we will have plenty of ice to go around!
Are kids (or dogs) welcome?
Kids within the family are invited, meaning nieces, nephews, and cousins. We wish we could have every kid we know, but we unfortunately cannot due to capacity limits. Also the only dog that will be on property for the weekend is the dog of honor himself - Yaz!
If you have any questions on this please reach out.
Do I get a plus one?
If you have a plus one it will specifically say it on your invitation!
I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Of course! All meals are provided by Camp Cody and will be buffet style. The Camp has ensured us that there will be safe options for those with allergies, so just let us know. Camp Cody is also a nut free facility so we request that you do not bring any nut products on your own!
This is a lot…
We hear you. This may be our dream wedding, but it's okay if it's not yours! We understand this isn't the norm and a lot of information! We want you to do what you are comfortable with, if that means only coming for the wedding night instead of the whole weekend that’s okay too. If you have more questions or don’t understand anything, reach out! Most importantly, we want everyone to be comfy and come ready to party - we can't wait to see you there!
