Derrick and Makayla crossed paths in high school, but it wasn’t until they both arrived at South Dakota State that their connection truly sparked. Derrick’s friends couldn’t stop talking about how "obsessed" he was with her, but Makayla just shrugged it off... not realizing that she secretly had a huge crush on him. Meanwhile, Derrick kept playfully flirting with the shy Makayla (and we can only imagine how that went).
