Derrick and Allison paths have intertwined since they were just a couple of little Mandan kids. Derrick and Allison had the same friend groups but yet never hung out with each other. Ninth grade hit and Derrick said goodbye to Mandan and moved to Dickinson and then Pennsylvania for the rest of his high school years while Allison stayed (Shhh she didn't even know he left). After high school Derrick decided that Mandan was his home and decided to move back.

In 2019 Allison got a friend request on Facebook from Derrick, seeing that they both had the same high school friends she figured that they must have went to school together and hit accept. In 2019 Allison wished Derrick a happy birthday thinking he was someone she use to work with but then Derrick messaged back and asked how she was doing. After a couple of messages Allison realized she thought Derrick was someone else and ghosted him. (for those that don't know what ghosted mean its when someone stops talking to them out of no where and is never to be seen again).

Two years later both Allison and Derrick wanted to find their person and was looking through all the dating apps there was. Allison noticed Derricks profile on Tinder of all places but kept swiping left (saying no) because Derricks profile picture was him and his cat and she thought only strange guys would have a cat and flaunt it on their profile pictures. After MANY bad dates and swiping left Allison decided to give the cat guy a chance and finally swipe right (saying yes).

Their first date was at the Mandan truck stop Rolling Hills, Derrick picked her up in a Ford and she knew this is a guy that has taste. Both Derrick and Allison put each other to the test, for Derrick, Dexter (Derricks cat) had to like her for things to move forward. For Allison, Derrick had to meet her crazy family and accept them, the biggest one was meeting Allison's dad and her family while they all have been drinking and if you know Allison dads side you know it was interesting since they were drinking. Once they both passed all the tests they knew that they were meant for each other. The rest is history!
