While Desi and Tanner were in highschool at Topeka High, we both had the amazing opportunity to become the bestest friends with Rachel Stewart. Although, we had no idea each other existed until Rachel pretty much set us up.

We first actually met each other at one of our now favorite spot, PIZZA PUB! Every since November 5th, 2016, we have fallen for each other more and more everyday. Since December 1st, 2016, we have been inseperable. We have enjoyed every second together, being able to watch each achieve our goals, watching each other graduate high school and adventuring off to college.

Tanner graduated from Topeka High in 2017 and then headed off to Fort Hays State University to major in Athletic Training. While Desirae was still at Topeka High until December, after graduating at semester in 2017, she made the choice to attend Fort Hays State University as well and major in Biology (Pre-Med). Being at FHSU together has been amazing. We both struggled being away from home and our families but it made it a little bit easier to be away when we had each other.

This semester in Hays has been rough for the both of us, taking a lot more classes and more difficult courses but it seems a little more doable when we are here together, here to cheer each other on, cross the finish line together. But the closer December got, the more exciting the semester got.

December is our favorite month of the year, considering it has our anniversary, Tanner's birthday, winter break, and our all time favorite, CHRISTMAS! This December would be our two years together and so we wanted to go all out for each other. Tanner had his own plans though that he kept to himself the whole time! On Saturday, December 1st, Tanner took us to Overland Park to this beautiful Christmas Light park where we walked around just looked at how beautiful it was. Although it was raining and freezing, the sight was beautiful and it was so worth it. Tanner had a plan though, that I (Desi) had no part of, he was going to make a life changing decision for the both of us. While we were walking around, Tanner started to "run out of breath" so he asked if we could stop and just stand here so he could catch his breath. I (Desi) didn't feel worn out or tired, I was just excited and wanted to keep walking but he insisted he stop. After a few minutes of waiting, he pulled us aside and he started saying really romantic things, telling me how much he loved me and all the time he has spent with me, at that time I knew what was happening. Tanner then soon then got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together.

We are now going to be spending the next year plus some planning our wedding. We are so excited for our journey together as an engaged couples and soon as husband and wife and even more excited that you all get to experience this journey with us!
