Q + A

Why did we choose Spruce Mountain for our Wedding?

Besides being a gorgeous location, Spruce Mountain is owned by the Ames Family, which is Zach's dad's family. There are many tributes to family members throughout the property. Ruby's cottage, where the bridal party will get ready, is named for Ruby Ames, Zach's great-grandmother. There is a statue in front of Albert's Lodge of both his great-grandparents, Chet and Ruby. This brings special meaning to our day!

What should I wear to a mountain wedding?

There will be both outdoor (wedding ceremony) and indoor/outdoor (cocktails and reception) areas during the event, so plan for both. The ceremony will take place on a grassy surface so block heels, wedges or flats are highly encouraged for women. Nights are cool, so a wrap would be a good idea.

Altitude is 7300 ft. That means drink lots of water throughout your stay in CO.

What should I know about getting to the venue?

Plan to arrive by 4 pm for the 4:30 ceremony start

The physical address for GPS is:

14771 Spruce Mountain Road, Larkspur CO

Upon entering the gated property, stay to the right and look for the chalkboard sign for

Chen/Soderholm Wedding, where you will turn left into the parking lot

The property is very large and there are 2 separate venue locations. We are at the Lower Ranch-Albert's Lodge location-see Maps Tab.

If you are driving, there is a parking lot adjacent to Albert's Lodge

The Ceremony Site is Mountainside. There will be a shuttle that will transport guests to the ceremony site from the Albert's Lodge parking lot.

If you do not wish to drive to the venue, we are proving a shuttle from the Drury Inn Hotel to and from Spruce Mountain Venue. Pickup will be at 3:30 pm on Thursday, with early and late return to Drury Inn. You can also park your car there and use this service. Uber and Lyft are also an option and are reliable to deliver you for 4 pm-pre-booking is highly encouraged.

However, SM advises that they are not reliable for late night pickups, so we are providing a shuttle bus back to the Drury Inn and nearby hotels at the end of the evening as an option.

Parking of cars overnight at the Venue is prohibited.

Cell Service and Wi-Fi

Cell service is limited at this somewhat remote location, however SM has Wi-Fi available for guests.
