My life changed for the better on the evening of Wednesday, December 11th of last year. The evangelist from my church, Bro. Darren Wainwright, came to me about some girl. I asked him where she was from but his response was "that's not important right now." Not long after that, on Saturday, December 14th, he informed me who this mysterious girl was. I was surprised that I had never heard of Destiny since I had already met some people from her church. I told him to get me a picture of her and I decided to move forward from there. I talked to Destiny on the phone before I ever met her in person. I remember thinking, "Man, I don’t even know what this girl sounds like!" I was relieved when I found out how beautiful her voice sounded when she said hello for the first time. The first several seconds were a little awkward but when the conversation was over, we had talked for 2 hours and 55 minutes! I felt like it was an instant connection! Days after our initial conversation, Destiny had told me that she had created a prayer card for me. I really believe, it was at that moment, she had won me over! I knew I needed to hang on to this girl! We met in person on January 4th inside the Shawnee Mall and the rest is history! I’m thankful and beyond blessed that I’m about to marry this beautiful woman of God and my best friend, Destiny Janae Watson!
