Where it was least expected, they found love! For Devin and Weston, a right swipe turned into a life of love and laughter. They have been together since February of 2018 when they were both in their early twenties.

They had their first date at the Carnegie Museum of Art and Natural History, and it went super well (until Weston got a parking ticket and Devin ordered her Thai food too spicy.) This awkward moment was what they both needed to break the ice and open-up to start the next 5+ loving and memorable years.

Over the next years, Devin was studying at CCAC’s nursing program, and Weston was working at Goodyear, all while working on limousines and Ubering on the side to save money for their first home.

In July of 2019, Weston bought their first home in White Oak and shortly after surprised Devin with their first fur baby, Rooney. Over the next year, Weston helped support Devin as she finished school to become a registered nurse and get her first job at Forbes Hospital.

The two of them have always been a pair of opportunists, seeing advancement and success wherever it may be. During his time at Goodyear, Weston studied for and completed the 9 tests to achieve his ASE Master Technician Certification. Devin then made the jump during COVID to quit her full-time position with AHN and join a travel agency to provide help to hospitals with crucial nursing needs.

In May of 2022, Devin came home from a long weekend of work in Altoona and decided to bring up the idea of another dog. It was that same night when they decided to Apple Pay a stranger on the internet and drive 3.5 hours to pick up their second fur baby, Frau.

Having a puppy in the house proved to be a true challenge, so shortly after, Devin decided to take a contract closer to home to be there to help Weston and Rooney handle the new weenie.

Devin spent the next months working and making plans for the house while Weston was devising his plan to propose. On January 3, 2023, Weston popped the question while Devin was in her favorite place: snuggled in bed with him and the two dogs. Of course, she said yes!

Since then, the two of them have been working tirelessly to work extra to save money and plan the wedding. As if that simply isn’t enough…

Currently, Weston is taking classes towards a degree in computer science, and Devin is earning her PCCN and trauma certification.

Devin and Weston want to continue their journey on the road, with plans to purchase a toy-hauler and travel the country with their fur babies and motorcycles.
