My SPECIAL Mema would've loved to have attended my wedding. August 4th, will always be a sad day for me. She was my rock & someone that truly understood me. As a kid, I'd run to her for everything. She'd listen to me cry, hug me when I was sad, cook for me when I was hungry and iron my clothes when they were terribly wrinkled. I miss walking into her house and opening the cupboards to a freshly made chocolate pie. I miss her smile and above all her laugh. It devastates me that I've waited so long to get married and that she will not be here. In memory of her Dustyn and I matched her original wedding band to one at the jewelers so that I can have a matching piece of her with me always. God only knows how much my heart hurts that you aren't here anymore.

My Ninny would've been the life of the party on my special day. She'd tell me,"I love you to the moon and back" as she signed on my birthday cards every year. As a kid, I learned to appreciate Tina Turner, because we'd blare it going down the road. She was the unconventional grandparent that you loved to hang out with. The one that you went on vacation with that let you get a little bit tipsy. I miss her craziness and love she had for her family, even though it was hard for her to show it. I will play some Gary Allen for you on that day. We love and miss you so much.

My papa would've been the one to tell me how beautiful I was every time I saw him and truly mean it. He was so creative and funny. He was either giving my grandma hell or creating something new in his shop. Before he passed he made sure to make each of his grandkids a guitar. I hate that you never got to meet Gus and watch him grow up, because you'd have loved his crazy self. I miss walking into your house and seeing you in your rocking chair. I hope you'd be proud of my accomplishments and the family that I've created. I know that you'd be the first to have told me how beautiful I was on my special day.
