Our Wedding

Devin and I met shortly after I moved to Utah in 2016. We quickly bonded over our shared love of outdoor recreation. Devin introduced me to rock climbing, and I was quickly humbled by how much stronger she was than me. In return, I taught Devin how to snowboard—managing to avoid any tears in the process. Our first getaway together was a winter weekend in Moab. We have returned many times over the years to hike, climb, backpack, and canyoneer. Moab is a very special place to us, and we cant wait to share it with all of our loved ones.

Lyft and Uber are available in Moab, but they are limited. If you would like to take a Lyft/Uber, please schedule in advance! The venue is a 10 minute drive from Moab, and parking is available for those who would prefer to drive.

Getting to Moab

For those traveling from out of state, SLC Airport will have the most flight options. However, Provo Airport and Grand Junction Airport are both closer to Moab. Grand Junction in particular is a much shorter drive.

Accommodations

We have hotel blocks set aside for our guests (see below), but feel free to choose the accommodations that work best for you! Our venue is located in Spanish Valley, just 10 minutes south of downtown Moab. Most hotels are located in Moab, but there are also plenty of great Airbnb and VRBO options in both Spanish Valley and Moab proper. Spanish Valley in particular has affordable Airbnb options within minutes of the venue for those traveling in groups.

Either location is a great choice for guests. Downtown Moab is very walkable with many dining options. Since May is peak season in the area, we recommend booking accommodations as early as possible to ensure the best availability and pricing.

Things to Do

We are so excited to share one of our favorite places in the world with our closest friends and family. Moab’s incredible landscapes are a big part of what makes this area so special, and we hope you take some time to explore during your stay!

Arches National Park is home to some of the most iconic desert landscapes in the world! The Park has become more popular in recent years, so make sure to make a reservation online!

The Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park is easily accessible and perfect for all ages and activity levels.

Dead Horse Point State Park

This is a moderate to hard hike through a box canyon that ends at Morning Glory Natural Bridge. This has been one of our favorites through the years. There are crossings through water, so be prepared to get your feet wet!

Grandstaff Trail Hike

Located just outside of Arches National Park, Corona and Bowtie Arch are two of the most striking and accessible arches in the Moab area. The trail can get busy later in the day, so we recommend starting early to enjoy the arches in the cooler morning light and beat the crowds!

A favorite among rock climbers, Fisher Towers is also a spectacular destination for hikers. While the hike can be challenging—with nearly 1,500 feet of elevation gain—it rewards your effort with unforgettable vistas and a unique perspective of the otherworldly landscape. Perfect for adventurous guests ready to break a sweat!
