What started as just a normal summer day in 2019 ended up being the day that Olivia was dared to text some random cute guy who lived in California. Sitting at a bar in Austin with Conrad, Jacob, and Kirby (Devin’s childhood friends), Olivia saw a picture of Devin and thought "Who is that guy?! She made a bet with his friends and ended up inviting Devin to come to Texas. Two weeks later, Devin hopped on a plane and the infamous river trip happened. The second Olivia walked into the Austin airport, she looked up the escalator and instantly made eye contact with Devin. Devin ended up staying in Texas for two weeks after that and they barely spent any time apart. When Devin left they didn’t know what was next for them. Not long after, Devin flew Olivia out to see what his life was in Southern California. After Liv met Travis and Jon, a trip to Temecula, and learning more about one another, they both knew this was not just a summer fling.

Several months later Covid shut down America and Olivia had an extra long summer break. She got in her car and 19 hours later was in Carlsbad, Ca. They spend 10 weeks together and fell even more in love.

Long distance was not easy but it was worth it! At the end of 2021, Devin got out of the Marine Corps. This meant that they could finally close the 1,297 mile gap between them and moved in together with their two cats Cali and Kylo.

On September 1st, Devin and Olivia celebrated their 4th anniversary of dating. They had an amazing dinner and after went on a walk around the Woodlands water way. After finding the best place for a photo on a beautiful bridge, Devin got on one knee and said "So you wanna do this?"
