Hello Family and Friends,

As we are progressing further into thi planning, family starting, adventure taking, and hopefully God glorifying time, it has been brought to our attention that there is some confusion as to the purpose for the way we are doing our registry. Hopefully I can clarify this area a little more and provide you the reasoning behind this step we have taken. But, before we get into that, I want to say that we cannot thank you enough for all your hearts. Your willingness and desire to invest into this new family that the Lord is forming, is beyond anything we could have hoped for. The support of family is something we greatly desire, appreciate, and look for as we move into this new life. We love every one of you!

And now, though we appreciate your desire to invest in our family, we want you to know the Lord has already been so gracious to us. By His great grace and wonderful providence, He has and will continue to provide for all our needs. We just cannot ask for anything beyond what He has already blessed us with. I know it sounds a little crazy, but we are being totally honest. There really is nothing that we need.

This is why we ask first off, that you pray for those ministries that are mentioned below. Man's efforts are useless and futile unless the Lord is the one behind it. We can water all we want, and we can plant with all our might, "but God gives the increase. For neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth." (1 Corinthians 3:6-7). Please join with us first and foremost in prayer that a way be opened for the salvation and rescue of these exploited children. Pray that those who harm them would be brought to justice, and saving faith themselves. And pray that our brothers and sisters, who are in the midst of this effort would be strengthened and encouraged to continue in the good fight. This is the first and really only thing we would ask of you.

But, if you want to provide more, please donate what you would normally spend on a wedding gift, to the ministries that are listed below. This desire to invest in these ministries we have laid out is completely intentional and purposeful. They need our support.

We are so thankful for each one of you and can't believe all the ways you've already blessed and supported and encouraged us over the years. The Lord has already blessed us with more than enough, so please don't worry about giving us a gift.

BUT...we are so excited to share a couple ministries that have been close to our hearts.

Our relationship stemmed from a similar passion to fight sex trafficking and we would be honored if you would consider giving to one of these ministries that the Lord is using to bring justice and healing.

The Anchor House - Restore One

We are SO excited about The Anchor House! It is the FIRST safe home specifically dedicated to serving adolescent boys, ages 12-18, who have been victims of sex trafficking. We often only hear of the plight of young girls and women in the anti-trafficking movement. But there's also a huge need for boys and young men, who have been coerced, abused, and sold into exploitation. The Anchor House is "committed to providing residential care that is trauma sensitive, holistic and Christ-centered specifically to domestic minor sex trafficked and commercial sexually exploited males to overcome difficulties and live free, fruitful and fulfilled lives."

A.new - Youth for Christ

This ministry is very near and dear to our hearts! Anew is a local ministry we've been privileged to have some involvement with that is seeking to provide care, awareness, support, and mentorship to those at-risk of or currently caught in sex trafficking. They are passionate about showing the love of Christ to those the world would turn a blind eye to. As this ministry grows and blossoms, there are some huge needs that need to be met, especially as they open up a drop-in center in the Tacoma area. We love seeing what the Lord is already doing and can't wait to see what He has planned for Anew.

Because we don't know exactly what A.new needs to start up this Drop-In center, we are collecting their donations as well, and will send it to them as one large package. We cannot thank you all enough for your hearts!
