September 2016

Michael and Devon met when they both attended school together at El Diamante High School. The couple met through mutual sports/friends playing water polo and swim, but really got to know each other in algebra class. This photo marks their first dance together, and the first couple months of them officially dating!

June 2017

Michael and Devon dated throughout their final years in high school, but were separated by a year. Michael graduated high school and was set to play water polo at Salem University in West Virginia. Meanwhile, Devon still had to finish her senior year of high school, so they soaked up the summer time before long distance began!

December 2017

Surprise! Michael flew home on his short weekend break from college water polo to ask Devon to her formal. He planned the surprise in her 6th period class, and Devon had no clue! Their first semester of long distance was tough, but it was all worth it when these memories were made.

May 2018

With Devon's high school career ending, May meant only one thing: Prom! Michael was able to come home early from school just in time to celebrate Devon's prom and graduation. Ironically enough the colors chosen were foreshadowing for Devon's college choice.

June 2018

Finally! Devon made it to high school graduation with Michael supporting her until the end, but it doesn't mean long distance is over. Devon decided to start her college education at San Jose State University where she would go to nursing school. Once again, Michael and Devon cherished the summer they had together before long distance started again.

December 2018

Devon's first semester of college she rushed a sorority, and with that came many events. Michael was still playing water polo, so visits were not in the cards for them yet. However, Devon's first sorority formal Michael was able to be home for his winter break to attend with her!

October 2019

Devon and Michaels first mid semester visit! Devon had never flown to the East Coast, and Michael got to play tour guide for the weekend in Pittsburgh, PA. Snow is not for us Californians, but this quickly became one of our favorite spots and memories going on the Duquesne Incline!

May 2021

Fast forward a year or so because we all know the apocalypse we had to deal with (which Michael and Devon weren't complaining as long distance was paused). Michael graduated with his Bachelors of Art in Criminal Justice from Salem University. Hooray, long distance is over! Or so we thought.

October 2021

Michael went back to finish one more year of water polo, and work towards a masters degree. Which meant the semesterly midway visits for Devon to see him play a tournament continued!

December 2021

Finally the time came to take our last visit to the Duquesne Incline in Pittsburgh, and prepare to take our 10 day road trip cross country to bring Michael back to California for good! Michael and Devon stopped in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Omaha, Denver, and Las Vegas along the way. This is the couples favorite trip together as they visited zoos, explored new cities, and tried amazing food along the way to celebrate the end of long distance!

June 2022

With Devon still completing her college degree at San Jose State, long distance became short distance, and visits became more frequent. Roles were reversed and Devon got to be the tour guide around San Jose!

April 2023

Now instead of sorority formal, it was nursing fraternity formal! Michael finally got to meet all of Devon's nursing school friends which she poured blood, sweat, and tears with to be one month away from graduation! This night was definitely one to remember, iykyk.

May 2023

After all of Devon's hard work, she finally graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing! Michael was her number one supporter during the whole nursing school process, and she could not have done it without him. You know what that means folks: no more short distance!

September 2024

After not so patiently waiting, Devon finally got the thing she had been wishing for since she was 16 years old. Michael finally popped the question! He planned the most perfect engagement in front of all of their closest friends and family. They have gone through plenty of high and lows as a couple, but the one constant has always been their love for each other. Michael and Devon are ready to begin this new chapter as husband and wife, and are so grateful to have each of you share this special day with them!

We kindly ask that you refrain from wearing shades of white or ivory- as this is reserved for the wedding party. Also avoid blue denim if possible as we would love to see our guests all dressed up! Remember to wear comfortable shoes as we are entirely outside for the night!

Also downtown Visalia, this hotel is a nice place to stay if you want to be close to the night life of Visalia but on a budget! About 15 minutes from venue.

Visalia Marriott at the Convention Center

This hotel is in Exeter, so it will be the closest place to stay to our venue. If you wish to keep your commute to the venue short, this is the place for you!

We are just 30 minutes away from the most beautiful national park! Enjoy hiking, swimming, and some fascinating nature views. Will cost money to enter the park.

Sequoia National Park

Reimers is by far my favorite ice cream in the central valley! It is just 30 minutes from Visalia, but the views off the patio while eating ice cream make it worth it. Three Rivers also has plenty of free hikes to explore if interested as well!

Mulligans is the new virtual golf joint in Visalia that provides entertainment for the whole family! Enjoy hours of fun while eating good food and drinks. Based right in downtown Visalia.

Movie theatre in down town Visalia just a walk from the hotels mentioned in the places to stay! If looking for the fancy recliner chairs those are at the Regal movies in Tulare about 15 minutes away.
