She was 19 and I was 20 when we met on October 11th, 2018. We met at Luna Cafe, a quaint and cozy spot in the Downtown Wilmington area. We were both students at CFCC, the community college up the road. Who knows how many times we crossed paths before then, unknowingly. We did not know that we would end up sharing a life together at the time, but we both knew that there was a connection between us and we became fast friends.

We were spending almost every day together, bonding over anything from horror movies to trampoline parks. It started to become apparent that we cared deeply for one another.

I finally worked up the courage to ask Devon out. At first she rejected me, and we were both sad about it. After a short time apart, we started hanging out again and on January 4th we started Dating.

So far, we have been together for about 4 years. In that time we have made friends together, gone on countless dates together, traveled together, shared countless meals together, raised a dog together and became a part of each other’s families.

I proposed to Devon on October 11th, 2022, at sunset, on a long dock that stretched out into the water. This is our story so far and we are excited to keep adding on to it. We look forward to celebrating our love with our closest friends and family.
